Question for y'all would

Ménière's Disease

fall under environment or genetic deafness? Although you can't fully go deaf just your hearing becomes so bad that its hard to recognize speech.

  1. Although the cause is unknown, Meniere’s disease probably results from an abnormality in the volume of fluid in the inner ear. This means it is environmental.

  2. I never heard of this disease so I googled it. I posted the link below, but this website suggests its genetic. From my understanding of the article, they believe it may be genetic because certain groups are more susceptible to get this disease (women and people of Asian descent being the most susceptible). Also, people with siblings who have Meniere's Disease is ten times as likely to have this disease as well. But as both Mrs. White and the article says, there is no known cause for the disease.
